For my 15th birthday, I received a Canon Mark 5D III SDLR camera from my parents. Not only was it a financially hefty gift (if you would momentarily overlook my parents’ contribution to my college education), but more preciously, the camera became my avenue to communicate the inner workings of Sophia Yan with others.
During my 7-year photography journey, I have experimented with film (analog) photography, adored travel photography, enjoyed food photography, and become specialized in fashion portrait photography. I loved my time as the Content Director of the Strike Magazine during college. It energizes me to collaborate with others to take on daring concepts and create intimate images.
I hope you enjoy your time exploring my website featuring my various projects and different types of photography. I have experience photographing live events, product marketing campaigns, and customized portraits. I would love to collaborate with you and your innovative ideas!
