This food photography was an innovative project in collaboration with Mooji Meats, a startup that creates 3D-print plant-based steaks, and Michael Weirich, a friend who is a chemical engineering student and a talented chef. I photographed a five-course steak meal made by Michael using the steak from Mooji Meats. The following pictures feature:
Tenderloin tacos (fresh pick de gallo and queso fresco)
Seared fillet (wild mushroom risotto, zaatar carrots, red wine cherry reduction)
“Oscar style” filet (seared prawns, lump crab Bernaise, sautéed asparagus).
I am excited about heading into a future where we can have sustainable and delicious options on our dinner table.
